For those of you who’ve been around with us, you know our love and passion for the world of Harry Potter.
We always wanted to do a piece on Diagon Alley—especially the moment when Harry enters it for the very first time. Because that was the first time we—readers, watchers, and players—stepped into the world of magic.
That moment is hard to forget, as the alley unfolds like a secret tucked behind a brick wall, so cozy and interesting and exciting all at once, brimming with curiosity, wonder, and a quiet sense that anything is possible.
Doing this piece with @mr.melville was a unique challenge. Our Moments In Time series is known for its obsessive attention to detail, and with so many objects packed into Diagon Alley, we honestly weren’t sure we could meet our own standards—let alone yours.
But @mr.melville took the challenge, and after hundreds of hours, he created not just our most detailed artwork yet, but quite possibly the most detailed Harry Potter art print in existence.
