Coming to America is our favorite film ever! We always wanted to share our appreciation and give all Coming to America fans a piece of Prince Akeem and his world, something beautiful to look at everyday. Somehow there is almost nothing when it comes to art inspired by Coming to America, so we really hope that fans will like our print. We were looking through hundreds of artists until we found mr. Melville, and we think that his distinctive style is such a good match with the movie vibes. We wanted to capture the atmosphere of Queens upon Akeem & Semmi arrival, plus give a tone of references, so it was kind of mission impossible, but @mr. Melville made it happen, by creating an amazing piece of art, fitting in all the characters and objects we could dream off. And as we like simple names, we just called it “Queens 1988”.
